Your body DOES NOT CARE what you LOOK like!! It is only interested in SURVIVING.

Therefore, if you want your body to CHANGE, you need to give it a DARN good reason to!! This is why lifting HEAVY weights, as opposed to light-weight beauty bells will give you the muscle and “tone” you so desire! By lifting heavy, you force the muscles to grow so they can keep up with the demands forced upon your body. When you lift light weights, it will do nothing for you (especially as your level of fitness increases)! It has to be a CHALLENGE!
If you are willing to SWEAT and work hard during cardio, why are you not willing to burn and work hard during your resistance training!?

There is a common myth that women will get “manly” or “bulky” from lifting heavy weights. This could not be further from the truth. Women do not have the levels of testosterone necessary to become bulky from lifting heavy weights without the help of steroids. If it were EASY to build muscle, don’t you think more girls would be “tone”?? Wouldn’t more girls choose to be “bulky” and muscular over fat if doing so were as simple as picking up a heavy weight? It is not easy to build muscle.. I have been TRYING to “bulk” up and build muscle now for 9 months.. and I’m still not where I want to be!

Don’t be afraid of the weights ladies… they are your friends! They will give you tone and curves in ALL THE RIGHT places. Excessive cardio will just flatten you out and make you “skinny fat”. Lift heavy, eat clean, you’ll be shocked at the awesome results.
